Quebrantahuesos

Overview
The event has also been called the Spanish version of the Etape du Tour and passes through beautiful Pyrenean scenery and over stunning mountain roads. It is a challenging course for riders that winds through the Spanish Pyrenees into the French Pyrenees and then back again.  The ride is 205 kms, with 3500 metres of height gained, on mostly closed roads. You will pass through a stunning mix of Spanish and French Pyreneen scenery as you cross from one country to the other through the awe-inspiring mountain passes used in La Vuelta and the Tour de France.

Quebrantahuesos Gran Fondo
The event started in 1991 and is nicknamed the ‘Bone-breaker,’ named after the region’s rare vulture bird. The event is so popular that there is a lottery system to gain entry for the 9,000 places. We can offer guaranteed entry into this iconic Spanish Cyclo-Sportive however.

Courses
The Granfondo route is 205km in length with 3,500 metres of climbing on mostly closed roads. The start is in the Spanish town of Sabiñánigo and the route passes over the Col du Somport, France 's Col du Marie Blanque and Col du Portalet, before finishing back in Sabiñánigo.
